“El moro de la patera”
“El moro de la patera”, a chamber opera by Canarian contemporary composer Lothar Siemens, is set in the Fuerteventura of the 1990s and had its world premiere in 2005. An illegal African immigrant, prosecuted by the police, is hiding in the house of a young couple, who seem to be reputable citizens but are secretly involved in drug trafficking. Rosina Herrera appears as Fasca, the unscrupulous wife who only cares for money and a prominent position in society. In this scene, she accuses her husband of not making enough money for her to live up to her ambitions.
